OpenMandriva ROME 24.12 has been released with an updated iteration of the KDE Plasma 6 desktop environment, showcasing spins that include the latest desktop environments such as GNOME, LXQt Qt6, Plasma 5, and COSMIC 1.0 alpha. The Plasma6 Wayland ISO is available as well. Proton can be found in the OpenMandriva repository under the names proton and proton-experimental, allowing access beyond the Steam platform. The OM-Welcome Startup and Configuration tool undergoes continuous improvements, with software being upgraded to the latest versions.
