A new version of the Pgpool-II middleware, which facilitates connection pooling, replication, and load balancing between PostgreSQL servers and PostgreSQL database clients, has been made available.
Pgpool-II 4.4.1, 4.3.4, 4.2.11, 4.1.14, 4.0.21 and 3.7.26 released.
Pgpool-II is a tool to add useful features to PostgreSQL, including:
- connection pooling
- load balancing
- automatic failover and more.
