PGSpider, a PostgreSQL extension, has a new version available.
PGSpider extension 1.1.0 is released
We have released PGSpider extension v1.1.0. This is an extension to construct data virtualization engine by PostgreSQL.
This release can work with PostgreSQL 13 and 15.
This release improves following items:
- Support PostgreSQL 15
- Support pgspider_ext_version() function
PGSpider extension supports following features :
- Node partitioned table
User can get records in multi tables on some data sources by one SQL easily.
If there are some tables with similar schema in each data source, PGSpider can view them as a single virtual table.- Parallel processing
PGSpider executes queries and fetches results from child nodes in parallel.
PGSpider expands a virtual table to child tables, access corresponding datasource of each child table on some worker processes.- Pushdown
PGSpider can pushdown WHERE clause and aggregation functions to data sources.
The shippability depends on datasource FDW.This is developed by Toshiba Software Engineering & Technology Center.
