DotDeb.org has released the following updated PHP packages for Debian GNU/Linux:

PHP 5.6.37 for Wheezy
PHP 7.0.31 for Jessie



PHP 5.6.37 for Wheezy

On July 20th 2018, the PHP group released PHP 5.6.37.

This is a security release. Several security bugs have been fixed in this release. All PHP 5.6 users are encouraged to upgrade to this version.

PHP 5.6.37 packages are now available for Debian 7 “Wheezy”, on both amd64 and i386 architectures, in ZTS and non-ZTS (default) flavors, along with the usual PECL extensions.

Important reminder: Wheezy is “End Of Life” since May 2018 and PHP 5.6 will at the end of this year. These packages are provided for legacy servers. Please consider upgrading to more recent versions of both Debian and PHP.

PHP 7.0.31 for Jessie

On July 19th 2018, the PHP group published PHP 7.0.31.

This is a security release. Several security bugs have been fixed in this release. All PHP 7.0 users are encouraged to upgrade to this version.

Packages of PHP 7.0.31 are now available for Debian 8 “Jessie” on amd64 and i386 architectures, along with the following PECL extensions : APCu, APCu_bc, geoip, igbinary, imagick, memcached, mongodb, msgpack, redis, ssh2 and xdebug.

Important reminder: Jessie entered its “Long Term Support” phase in June 2018 and PHP 7.0 will reach its “End Of Life” in December of this year. Please consider upgrading to more recent versions of both Debian and PHP.
