1. Summary:
An update for Red Hat Data Grid is now available.

2. Description:
Red Hat Data Grid is an in-memory, distributed, NoSQL datastore solution.
It increases application response times and allows for dramatically
improving performance while providing availability, reliability, and
elastic scale.
Data Grid 8.2.3 replaces Data Grid 8.2.2 and includes bug fixes and

* log4j-core: DoS in log4j 2.x with thread context message pattern and
context lookup pattern (incomplete fix for CVE-2021-44228) (CVE-2021-45046)
* log4j-core: DoS in log4j 2.x with Thread Context Map (MDC) input data
contains a recursive lookup and context lookup pattern (CVE-2021-45105)

3. Solution:
To install this update, do the following:
1. Download the Data Grid 8.2.3 server patch from the customer portal[²].
2. Back up your existing Data Grid installation. You should back up
databases, configuration files, and so on.
3. Install the Data Grid 8.2.3 server patch. Refer to the 8.2.3 Release
Notes[³] for patching instructions.
4. Restart Data Grid to ensure the changes take effect.
