GNOME 3620 Published by

Jens Georg has announced the release of a new development preview of Shotwell for testing. Shotwell is a digital photo manager designed for the GNOME desktop environment.

New development preview - Shotwell ~0.31.6~ 0.31.7

According to my random schedule, it was time to push out two! new development snapshot of Shotwell! Get it from  https://download.gnome.org/sources/shotwell/0.31/shotwell-0.31.7.tar.xz

(0.31.6 was slightly broken, sorry for that)

Highlights:

  • Unbreaks most of the publishing services if the peer uses HTTP/2
    • Tumblr is still broken, but this depends on a fix in libsoup
  • Adds a user interface for profile management
  • Year 2038 safety (maybe), and with that, support for exposure dates before Unix epoch!
  • Support more than one account per publishing provider (caveat: only works for Piwigo currently)

Impressions from the profile selector. Comes with its own desktop entry or from console with shotwell --profile-browser
