Summary:
AIDE could be made to crash or run programs as an administrator if it
opened a specially crafted file.

Details:
David Bouman discovered that AIDE incorrectly handled base64 operations. A
local attacker could use this issue to cause AIDE to crash, resulting in a
denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:
Ubuntu 21.10:
aide 0.17.3-4ubuntu0.1
Ubuntu 21.04:
aide 0.17.3-1ubuntu0.1
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS:
aide 0.16.1-1ubuntu0.1
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS:
aide 0.16-3ubuntu0.1
