A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:
- Ubuntu 22.10
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Summary:
Exim could be made to crash or run programs if it processed specially
crafted regular expressions.
Software Description:
- exim4: Exim is a mail transport agent
Details:
It was discovered that Exim incorrectly handled certain regular
expressions. An attacker could use this issue to cause Exim to crash,
resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:
