CUPS could be made to crash or expose sensitive information over the
network.

Details:

USN-6184-1 fixed a vulnerability in CUPS. This update provides the
corresponding updates for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

Original advisory details:

 It was discovered that CUPS incorrectly handled certain memory operations.
 An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause CUPS to crash,
resulting
 in a denial of service, or to possibly obtain sensitive information.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Available with Ubuntu Pro):
  cups                            2.2.7-1ubuntu2.10+esm1

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Available with Ubuntu Pro):
  cups                            2.1.3-4ubuntu0.11+esm3

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
